Find Peace Through Self-Acceptance

How often do you beat yourself up by thinking you're not good enough, attractive enough or intelligent enough?

How often do you compare yourself to others and have feelings of self-loathing?

When you learn to accept yourself, you'll find peace in your life. Here's how to go about it...

# Realize that no one is perfect. We all have flaws. We can all find something about ourselves that we see as being unattractive or weak. Instead of focusing on those perceived imperfections, make a conscious effort to focus on your strengths and the qualities that make you amazing!

# Change what you can't accept and accept what you can't change. Put this philosophy into practice.

# Be mindful of your thoughts and feelings as you go about your day. As soon as you start thinking badly of yourself, replace these thoughts with positive ones.

# Make friends with yourself. Fall in love with the beautiful and amazing person that you are. When you are friends with yourself, you'll find that your relationships with others will also improve.

# We all have off-days and times when we think we can do better, but use these thoughts as motivators rather than punishment. Love yourself enough to forgive yourself. You are ever evolving and improving.

# Recognize that you are worthy of a joyful and fulfilling life. Celebrate the unique and wonderful individual that you are - warts and all!

Self-acceptance is as much about attitude and perspective. Change your thoughts and you change your experience.
