Seven Super Tips for Optimum Health and Well-Being

1) Check your diet. Are you eating quality food and good nutrition? You wouldn't put poor, contaminated fuel into your car so why would you do that to your body? Make wise choices. 2) Get moving! Exercise doesn't have to be punishing. Walk, stretch, and be more mobile, as you go about your day. Take the stairs instead of the lift. Cycle instead of taking the car. Move that body - it's good for your circulation, improves bodily functions, is revitalizing, and will put a smile on your face!

3) Create ample time on a daily basis for relaxation. You deserve it! Use your relaxation time for meditation to bring about whatever you need: healing, focus, insights, clarity, inner stillness.

4) Ensure that you are achieving enough restorative sleep. Stick to a good sleep routine. A warm, comfy bed makes a difference but so does making sure you relax before you go to sleep so you're not disturbing your sleeptime with mind junk.

5) Learn how to breathe correctly for optimum health and vitality.

6) Create a better life balance for yourself. Make time for work, rest, and play. Give extra attention to your playtime. It's good medicine for your soul.

7) Good health really depends upon your state of mind. Be positive and embrace your happiness. It will make a huge difference to your wellness.

Watch Your Self-Talk!


So, how are you progressing with your New Year's resolutions?

Are you on target with your goals or already straying from the course?

If your plans are going askew, then you need to ask yourself this:


`What are my dominant thoughts right now? Am I truly focused on achieving my goals or am I allowing some negative self-talk to cause doubts, procrastination, and ultimate failure?'

Now, be truthful!

Are you talking yourself out of achieving your goals?

Sounds crazy but if you let your thoughts run away, your goals will be left behind.

You will recognise the little chatter that goes on in your head. Chatter such as ... `I can start my diet tomorrow', or `I don't really feel I have enough energy right now', or `I don't think I'm up to this task', or `It doesn't matter if I don't do this today', and so on.

Don't let the little lazy doubting voice within you sabotage your dreams!

As soon as such thoughts come into your head, replace them with positive self-talk ... `I CAN do this, and I'm going to do it RIGHT NOW' ... `I'm more than capable of achieving my goal today' ... `Each step takes me closer to my ultimate goal'.

When you're mindful of your thoughts, you can eradicate the negative talk that holds you back.
