Sharpen Your Memory

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to drop by today to tell you about a new radio series that is being broadcast on radio 4, called Sharpen Your Memory, which started on Saturday 22nd July. The first episode was based on the link between our memory and our identity.
To find out more go to: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/memory. You can also use this link to listen live to the broadcasts.

The series of programmes, hosted by Mariella Frostrup and Dr Mark Porter, began by looking in depth at how our memory defines who we are, plus some hard hitting research about why when we shut out painful experiences in our lives we then suffer from depression. There were several high profile guests, including writer Louise Doughty and the film director Rupert Murray who shared their experiences and views.

If you are based in the US, or in the UK and missed the beginning of the series, don’t despair, you can visit http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/memory/listenagain/ and scroll down to the Sharpen Your Memory series. You will then be able to listen to the episodes a few days after they have originally aired in the UK.

If you are in the UK, the next episode is due to air on Wednesday morning (2nd August) at 9am GMT and repeated at 9pm GMT.

It is set to be a good series. Well worth a listen.

Suzie
